Designing a multipurpose

robotic platform

abstract

As the RHex is a miniature bio-inspired robot designed for locomotion in rough terrain and hard to reach areas; heavy emphasis was made to design a reliable and cost effective system. To achieve said goals, different mechanical requirements were characterised, addressed, and validated using Finite Element Analysis methods.
